Prof. doc. Roland Gartner
current position is the head of the outpatient clinic for Endocrinology and diabetes he working since July 1979 without any interruption at Munich University clinic. He is also the Assistant medical director for the ward for general internal medicine and lecture in Internal medicine, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Intensive care Medicine.
Prof. Gartner did his university degree in Medicine at LMU, Munich, Germany in 1976, later he has multiple scientific training course under the mentorship of Prof. P.C. Scriba in (Development of different methods for hormone determination, isolation and characterization of human TBG) and in Cell biology under the mentorship of Prof. Herzog.
He is a member of Endocrine society, European thyroid association, German society for Internal medicine, German Society for Intensive Internal Medicine and Androgen Excess Society.
Education:
- University degree in Medicine at the LMU, Munich, Germany Approbation 1976
- Thereafter scientific training (development of different methods for hormone determination, isolation and characterisation of human TBG) at the University of Munich under the mentorship of Prof. P.C. Scriba.
- Training in cell biology under the mentorship of Prof. Herzog, Institute of Cell Biology, University of Munich 1984-1985
- Since 1979 permanent employment at the Hospital for Internal Medicine, Klinikum Innenstadt, University of Munich. Education in Internal Medicine, final exam 1985
- Afterwards training in Endocrinology and Diabetes: final exam 1987
- Training in Intensive Care Medicine, final exam 1991.
